Thomas Adams – “As a stakeholder in this field, I fully support the mission of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless to generate policies, community support and local resources for housing and services to end homelessness in Minnesota. I’ve worked the majority of my life in Minnesota and have seen first hand the impacts of homelessness on families, communities, and the state. I am excited to help the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless advance its mission and help to reshape and inform a sometimes broken system to more fully reach all of those who are in need.”
Elena Guerra – “I’m excited to join the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless board, to use my voice to help promote change in Minnesota and to advocate for those experiencing homelessness. As someone who has lived experience with homelessness, it’s my passion and goal that no one else has to go through that as well.”
Clara Jung – “I believe that housing is a human right, and that homelessness is one of the most urgent and preventable issues in our community. The mission of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless to end homelessness is especially energizing to me because it is rooted in deep care for our neighbors. I am thrilled to be joining the board and the confluence of voices from all sectors aimed at making an impact on public policy.”
Mary Riegert – “Across Minnesota, Native Americans are disproportionately experiencing homelessness. I am excited to join the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless Board of Directors to continue the work of ensuring our tribal nations have access to equitable and stable housing for all our people. I am committed and looking forward to building relationships with non-tribal partners who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our Native American relatives and their families.”
Kayla Simon – “I am excited to bring a voice from greater Minnesota and share the viewpoints from my experiences with college students, as well as, veterans experiencing homelessness. As a social worker, I’m a very gray thinker. I want to advocate for policies that make the system work for folks experiencing homelessness.”
