The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless seeks workshop proposals for the 2016 conference titled “Facing Forward Together: Our Values for a Better Future.” It will be held in Rochester, MN on October 11-12, 2016.
Sessions should meet the professional and personal development needs of program directors, front-line staff, people new to the work, and people living in deep poverty.
All workshop proposals are welcome and will be considered. We will give special attention to those that incorporate the theme of this year’s conference: “Facing Forward Together: Our Values for a Better Future”. Our values move us to address inequities across race, geography, and age. In addition, our community must stand together to face systemic barriers head on. Today, criminal backgrounds, mental health, and the lack of affordable housing are among the top barriers to housing and economic stability. We will give presentation proposals that address these issues top priority.
Conference presenters attend the conference for FREE the day they present or attend both days for the reduced rate of $120.00 (up to 2 presenters per session).
